Well Red

Last week's Big Ugly Land of Oz self-portraiture challenge was entitled, "Seeing Red"...and for me it was pure kismet that this past Friday I happened to bump into one of my most open-minded, property-owning friends...cuz outta the blue, he offered up one of his many fantabulous properties - as a potential backdrop for one, or any of my self-portrait shoots. When I mentioned to him that my next shoot was gonna need to be "red-themed", he smiled and said that - not only were there two old MG's in the building in which he'd offered to let me take pics., but (if he remembered correctly) one of them was red...and 'deed if it wasn't...THANK You, You amazingly sweet, and generous man!!!

  1. I love all of these! My favorite 2 are the ones you submitted for the BULOO challenge. :) You always find the coolest places to photograph...I need to push myself to photograph outside of my apartment more, I am definitely a little stuck in my comfort zone at the moment.

    1. @Penny - See...I'm the complete opposite! I am totally uncomfortable shooting at home. Matter of fact, I never even really consider staging shoots in my house, unless every single other option seems to be exhausted. You really oughtta try and get out more! I bet if you do - you will soon find that you prefer going "on location" over shooting amid the comforts of home :D

  2. I love these as well, but...how in the WORLD did you manage to get yourself up on that beam and posed in 10 seconds? Sorry, I'm a geek that way - tend to focus on the wrong things, probably but that's just the way my brain works :)

    1. @Adam - They don't call it "dash photography" for nothing! And so actually Adam? It always makes me extremely happy when folks take into consideration, the aspects of difficulty involved with getting my self shots! (Believe it or not though, this one wasn't even all that tough to pull off)
