I have something very exciting to tell you guys! I've been holding off letting the cat outta the bag, until I was absolutely certain that I was moving forward with my new venture...but this morning when I put down a deposit and paid the first month's rent on a commercial space in downtown Winchester - I took the first major step towards realizing my dream of opening a fine art photography gallery (which I have to admit - is both terrifying and thrilling, all at once!!!)
I'll fill you in on more of the details as things progress, but in the meantime - feel free to busy yourselves by making your submissions to The Big Ugly Self-Portraiture Challenge (click here for the deets - just DO it! Come on - Please!)
Incredible pic! I hope you had something soft, out of frame, to land on. Congrats, as well.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous - THANK You! I'm SUPER excited about the gallery! If you live nearby, I hope you'll stop in - once I get it up and running!
DeleteSo glad that you like the pic. :) And, no - there wasn't anything particularly soft to land on...just the ground (my knees are still a bit creaky, because of this shoot)
LOVE this photo, but boy would it look great if you were naked ! just a thought! Wish I could get myself in better shape to do some naked stuff for ya, alas the only stuff I have is with old boyfirends and most likely not appropriate for your site. too bad had some good stuff and mild ! SOOOOO happy for you about your gallary plans, dream on super star ! Patrick
ReplyDelete@Patrick - Haha! Well? I decided to take a break from being naked in (what feels like) ALL of my selfpics, lately. (Plus, I just recently scored some kickass costumes from the dance academy that my daughter attends - so been itchin' to incorporate them in my pics.)
DeleteAnd listen, I don't want you (or anyone else, for that matter) - to think that you HAVE to be naked in the self-portraits that you submit to the challenge - cuz you DON'T!!! Be whatever way you WANT to be - but please just give dash photography a try, and send me a pic. to post on the blog...please? You'll have so much fun, I promise - just TRY it!
Adore the photo, love the fun childlike joy of it, and the colors are awesome.
ReplyDeleteAlso, grats on moving forward to possibly the next step, I think you'll do amazing!
@cammies on the floor - Thank You SOOOO Much! I can't WAIT until the gallery doors are finally open!
DeleteThis really was a fun shoot to stage :) Was nice to do something a little more lighthearted than my norm...
Just amazing! Keep up the great work! Who would've thought jumnping off of a fence could look so awesome! Oh and can't wait for the gallery to be all up and ready to go!!!!
ReplyDelete@Osmyn Oree - I can't wait to see the work of amazing photographers like YOU - on the walls there!!!
