    1. @patrick - Believe it or not - I actually dulled down the color a fair amount! In the original photo, it was almost absurdly intense!

Nope, the dog is not mine. But isn't he AWEsome?! He made cameo appearances in many of the pics. that I snapped that day, only to the benefit of each one - I was so grateful for his presence!

  2. I'd normally say that there's too much going on in this photo, but you're the exclamation point of the wooden objects building up to you... and you and the dog are seeing something remarkable going on in the sky. So even though it doesn't do it on "normal rules" of photography, this is still a great shot! But that's what you do best, isn't it... get great shots when the normal rules would say you're missing. So carry on!

    1. @Steve - I totally hear Ya', Steve! Upon initial inspection, I definitely worried that this image was maybe just a wee bit too busy...but I was so tickled that the dog being in the frame, had added something completely unexpected, even odd - that I couldn't NOT use it!

P.S....I'm not even sure that I've ever even known what the actual rules ARE - Hahaha!

  3. I love the scale the dog seems to add it makes you look like an exquisite statue that is like 1/3 size shot with the greys and the pop of the door and grass. Love it like the rest of them.

    1. @Rick Kitesurfer - I have to admit, the selfpics that I snapped both before and after the dog wandered onto the set - were entirely less interesting to me. The little guy definitely MADE this shoot!

Thank you for coming here, and for leaving such a nice comment! :)

  4. I love this one. You're like statuary, with the dog as the main focus of the image instead of you (which is bait and switch, because of course we're still looking at you!).

    1. @Curvaceous Dee - It was kinda nice to be the supporting actor for once! I actually thought the dog completely stole the show - which was entirely ok with me :)
