The Hotel Chronicles - Jumping For Joy

Sorry for having been absent for so, so long...LAWD what's my problem...

Anyway, I did finally take some time away from all of my other obligations - to go on a little self-portraiture field trip...and I couldn't be more delighted that I did :D

    1. @Advizor54 - I just went back and checked for you. I snapped 65 frames (many of which I've now deleted cuz they totally SUCKED!), and oddly enough - this image was only the ninth pic. captured in the group! What happens with a shoot like this though, is that I tend to fall into that whole, "Ok, just one more good one, and then I can stop" trap...most commonly to negligible results. I'm sure you can imagine the amount of cussing that's involved, haha!

    2. When you said 65 my first thought was of an aerobics class that made us do jump squats and they killed me. You must be (and we all know it's true) in incredible shape. I can imagine how tired you must have been after. Too bad I wasn't there to pull you in to the shower to freshen up.

    3. @Advizor54 - To be perfectly honest about it - right now, I'm probably in the worst shape (cardiovascularly speaking) than I've ever been in. I haven't done any sort of regular exercise in absolutely eons, and pretty much all I DO do anymore, is huff away on cigarettes, and swill on cocktails - Haha! I wouldn't say this shoot kicked my ass (like some of the others have), but I was definitely "glistening" by the time I was through. Oh! And I used the bath afterwards as an excuse to stage yet another set of pics...

    1. @nisza_E - I took 65 shots, over the course of one hour exactly - I did take a short break though, somewhere in the middle, and left to go get a bucket of ice so that I could mix a drink :) Not gonna lie, all that jumping kicked my BUTT! I was sweaty and gross when I was done, and my body is a little creaky and stiff, today...I think I must be getting OLD!

Funny you ask about the neighbors too! Not 5 minutes into this shoot, the phone in my room rang. I stood there for a coupla seconds, staring at it - afraid that if I picked it up the lady at the front desk would ask me to please stop whatever it was that I was doing. But all she wanted, was to know if I was happy with the room - phew!

  4. Talk about flying high! That must be one bouncy mattress. So glad to have you back in action; we were getting worried.

Great shot; loads of energy. And your expression says it all. This shoot must have been lots of fun.

    1. @Raymond - Yeah, this shoot WAS a TON of fun!!! The bed I have at home, isn't springy at all - so this was the first time in forever that I've been able to actually jump on a bed...might seem sort of silly, that something so juvenile could be so entertaining - but it really was an absolute blast!

    1. @AMC - I got a couple of other shots where I actually DID touch the ceiling! Too many little things wrong with 'em to be able to post though, bummer...

This was the most lighthearted shoot that I've done in awhile, and it actually did make me feel young...
